Curtains and canopy installed!!!! Looks best in low light, which is good because that's what I need for my tiny projector to work. It also brings the right atmosphere to the room. It was quite hard the get a good representation the irl vibe on picture. Sorry about my messy basement hehe we've been living here for a long time, please have understanding. Can't believe that it's still crammed even after getting rid of 20 trash bags of clothes and probably just as many full of "stuff".
From my Contextual practice page:
Today I have disassembled three wardrobes that stood in the room where my installation is now coming to creation. I have hung up tulle curtains on the walls, and a tulle canopy in the middle of the room. It was quite the effort, because the walls are made of concrete so to attach the tulle I had to use some creative solutions. With the help of fishing line, washing line and thread I attached the curtains to pipes and the ceiling lamp. One of the walls didn't have any pipes to attach the washing line to so I used the side parts of the dismounted wardrobe to help to hold up the line. I also used the back part which was made of thin plywood as partition to cover the view of the heating system at the back of the room. Even though the set up obviously is quite amateurish it looks really great in low light. I found a red light to put up in the room and with that light it actually looked quite nice. Like a dreamworld of veils. One layer after the other. The light wood colour of the wardrobe added an organic element to the room. It looked really nice through the tulle, especially in low light.

The room I am doing my installation in. Just wanted to show what the space looks like empty, for reference. This was before I remembered the pano function on my phone so I tried to get pictures of the whole space with the help of my selfie stick LOL!

New stills from todays editing session !!!!! Not going to upload the whole thing because it takes 200 years to upload to youtube every time and I haven't changed that much from the last thing I uploaded. I only did some "cleaning", made everything go together smoother, made the clips longer, messed with the audio a bit but made myself mighty confused through the process and ended up a bit discouraged.
